Acholonu has deleted all of Ekubo's photos on her Instagram page. There are reports that Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo and his fiance Fancy Acholonu have called off their engagement. Ekubo proposed to Acholonu in May 2021. There are reports that she called off the engagement and deleted their joint Instagram page, FalexxForever. Acholonu has unfollowed the movie star on Instagram even though he still follows her. However, Ekubo still has photos and videos from their proposal and engagement ceremony on his Instagram page. While Acholonu has deleted every photo she has with the movie star on her Instagram page. The couple got engaged in Los Angeles, United States of America. They were billed to walk down the aisle in November.

CBN stops sale of forex to BDCs

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) says it has stopped forex sales to Bureau De Change (BDC) operators in the country. Godwin Emefiele, governor of the apex bank, announced this at the end of the monetary policy committee’s meeting in Abuja on Tuesday. Emefiele said BDC operators have become a conduit for illegal financial flows working with corrupt people to conduct illicit flows and money laundering in Nigeria.

Stop offering us Bribes ,Police, FRSC tell Nigerians

The Police and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Tuesday urged Nigerians to stop offering their officers a bribe. × They also urged the public to report any officer who demands a bribe. The two agencies were among participants at a one-day virtual stakeholder dialogue on “effective and sustainable strategies for curbing retail corruption” organised by the Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption (PACAC). PACAC Executive Secretary Prof Sadiq Radda said citizens have a critical role to play in ending petty (retail) corruption, most of which occur in form of bribery. He believes retail corruption can be reduced when citizens are law-abiding and comply with the rules, and when institutions play their roles effectively. Soldiers on Tuesday prevented traders at the Timber and Building Materials markets in Orlu, Imo State, to open for the day’s business. Most of the traders in the two markets had on Monday refused to open their shops in solidarity with the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu,  who is facing terrorism-related charges at the Federal High court in Abuja. The soldiers, who were manning a checkpoint close to the two big markets in Orlu, barred the traders from opening their shops for any commercial activity. Our correspondent was told by the traders that the soldiers ordered the gatemen at the entrances of the two big markets not to open the gates. While the military continued with their stop and search duty in front of the two markets, traders who came as early as 7am met the entrance gates of the two markets under lock and key. 681 Intending Lawyers Fail Bar Final Examinations

The Nigerian Law School, on Tuesday, revealed that 618 intending lawyers that sat for the December 2020 Bar final examinations, failed. The Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, Professor Isah Chiroma, made the disclosure after he presented a total of 880 successful candidates that were confirmed as lawyers during day-one of the Call to Bar Ceremony. Professor Chiroma said the successful candidates were part of a total of 1,561 students that participated in the examinations. Equally admitted into the Bar on Tuesday were 4 candidates from previous Bar Final Examinations. Meanwhile, Prof. Chiroma disclosed that henceforth, law graduates of National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN, would be permitted to do special remedial course at the Nigerian Law School.
